How does EscrowPays escrow actually work?
When a trade is initiated, the buyer deposits funds into EscrowPays's secure vault. The seller is notified to deliver goods or services. Once the buyer confirms receipt, funds are instantly released to the seller. If there's a dispute, our arbitration system kicks in.
What currencies and payment methods are supported?
We support USD, NGN and major fiat currencies via Paystack, Flutterwave, and Stripe. For crypto, we support BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB and 50+ assets via NOWPayments and other integrations.
What is KYC and do I need it?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is identity verification. Level 1 is basic — just an email. Level 2 requires a government ID. Level 3 adds biometric verification. Higher KYC levels unlock higher trade limits, which are configurable by admin. Trades above a certain amount (set by admin) require at least Level 2.
What happens if there's a dispute?
Either party can raise a dispute and upload evidence (screenshots, receipts, etc.). The case goes through community voting and admin review. Our fair arbitration system ensures a decision is reached within 48 hours. Funds remain locked until the dispute is resolved.
How secure is EscrowPays?
We use bank-grade encryption, 2FA, and all form submissions are AJAX-based with hidden action URLs. Deleted records are never permanently removed — status is changed to preserve audit trails. All sensitive operations are logged and monitored in real-time.
Can I list on the marketplace as a seller?
Yes! Pro and Enterprise users can list on our marketplace directory where buyers can browse and contact sellers directly. All transactions initiated through the marketplace are automatically protected by escrow.
